This page explains what AdsBud collects, why we collect it, and who else gets to see it. We wrote it in plain English. If anything's unclear, email [email protected] and we'll fix the wording.
1. Who we are
AdsBud ("we", "us") is an AI marketing agent for Meta and Google Ads. We are a single-operator independent SaaS. There is no parent company.
2. What we collect
We collect three categories of data:
- Account data: your name, email, and password hash (via Clerk). Used to authenticate you and to send transactional emails about your account.
- Connected ad-account data: the OAuth tokens for the ad account(s) you connect (Meta and/or Google Ads), plus the live insights and catalog data the agent fetches from Meta and Google on your behalf (campaigns, ad sets and ad groups, ads, keywords, spend, impressions, etc.). Tokens are encrypted at rest and deleted when you disconnect the account.
- Product usage: the messages you send to the agent, the agent's responses, which buttons you click, page-view events. Used to operate the product and to improve it.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party processors to run AdsBud. Each one sees only the slice of your data they need to do their job:
- Clerk: authentication and session management. Sees your email and password hash.
- Anthropic: the LLM that powers the agent. Sees your chat messages and the ad-account data the agent pulls in order to reason about your account.
- Meta (Facebook): the source of your Meta ad-account data. You authorize us to read on your behalf via Business Login OAuth. We never share your data with Meta beyond what's required to make API calls.
- Google: the source of your Google Ads account data. You authorize us via Google OAuth to read and, with your approval, change the Google Ads account(s) you connect through the Google Ads API. We never share your data with Google beyond what's required to make Google Ads API calls.
- Resend: transactional email delivery. Sees your email address and the body of any emails we send you.
- PostHog: product analytics. Sees page-view events, button clicks, and aggregate usage metrics, not the contents of your chat or your ad-account data.
- Stripe: payment processing. Sees your billing name and the last four digits of your card; we never store full card numbers.
- Sentry: server-side error tracking. Sees stack traces; we strip identifying data before sending.
We do not sell your data, do not run ads on it, and do not share it with marketing networks beyond the processors listed above.
4. How we use your data
- To run the AI agent against your connected ad accounts.
- To send you transactional emails (welcome, trial reminders, agent reports, auth-health alerts).
- To investigate bugs and improve the product.
- To bill you.
5. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons (e.g. invoices for tax purposes). You can ask us to delete specific data sooner by emailing [email protected].
6. Your rights
You can delete your data at any time by disconnecting an ad account or deleting your AdsBud account, and you can revoke our access to your connected ad accounts (Meta and Google) from the Ad accounts page in your dashboard. For a copy of your data, email [email protected]. If you're in the EU/UK, you also have GDPR rights to access, correct, and port your data. Email us and we'll help.
7. Security
Meta and Google access tokens are encrypted at rest and deleted when you disconnect an account. All traffic is TLS-only. We're a single-operator product without a formal SOC 2 audit; if your compliance team needs a security review, get in touch and we'll work with you.
8. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change, and notify you by email if the change is material (new processors, new data categories). The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
